Aunt Olivia is the main Blackham hair stylist ... she often makes house calls, and other times the boys will try to visit her at the salon. Landon needed a cut, and set up an appointment, and he and Coop went out for a new do. Landon's trim was pretty standard, but Coop got a different style.
He'd been letting his hair grown longer, utilizing various headbands and hats to keep it controlled when working or exercising. With this new look, long on the top, close crop on the sides and back, he could actually pull it back into a pony (or man bun, which was really only the day he came home).
Writing in retrospect (okay, it's actually December 2025) this hairstyle has stuck. Coop always insists on NO cutting of the long portion (so it is getting quite long!), and he does just wear it down at times. Most of the time, the long portion is back in a ponytail. With more hair, he's gotten a bit more interested in various shampoos and conditioners, as well as a variety of hair ties. This has head to less hat wearing (the older Blackham boys, especially Cal & Keaton almost live in caps!)
Whenever there is a new style, you're never sure if it will stick.
This has stuck!
